Every once in a while I like to google the words “bush +impeach” to see what the search engines are turning up. Last July Google gave us 2,310,000 results. And today, February 17th — 519,000.
What the heck happened to the other 1,791,000 results Google? And by the way, the impeachment movement is GROWING not shrinking. Google, why are you doing this?

Thanks Yahoo!
Let’s try another combination of words “bush +impeachment” (This will be our baseline for future comparisons)
Yahoo 02-17-09 = 20,600,000 ! — screenshot
Google 02-17-09 = 297,000 — screen shot — YOU ARE KIDDING ME !?
When using the combination “bush +impeachment” the discrepancy is even more apparent . Look for an update in a couple of months.
Yesterday, we joined John for the final leg of his historic march from Boston to Washington, DC to urge Congress to hold impeachment hearings on Bush and Cheney. It was great meeting John, his partner Allyson and so many other wonderful people who came to the march & rally yesterday. Impeach supporters from many other states as well as the DC area were there. We had a bit of trouble being asked to leave the National Arboretum and some of us were turned away at the Constitution. (this issue is on fire! see links below)
John asked us all to remember that this is not over, being here is just the first part. The second part is carrying this message to congress which he asks us to do and which he intends to do this week and next. (see John’s message below)
From citizen media producers: Links to blogs, photos/videos and citizen news coverage as we get them will be added here. So far we have:
Video documentary of the march (includes inspiring speeches from John, David Swanson and Ray McGovern and comments from marchers. More taped interviews coming soon.)
John will attempt to meet with Nancy Pelosi and John Conyers this week. John asks that we call their offices and urge them to meet with him and of course to ask them to put impeachment on the table. Capitol Hill Switchboard: (202) 224-2131 , (800) 828-0498.
Update 1/15: John is meeting met with Congressman Wexler. Read about that and his invite to witness Wexler’s speech in which he demanded impeachment hearings on Dick Cheney
Update 1/14: John is meeting with the Judiciary Committee Staff on Monday. Please call them! (800) 828-0498, (800) 862-5530, (800) 833-6354 - Use this handy list of Judiciary Committee member names. Just ask the operator to connect you to the office of your choice.
Update: Google doesn’t show stats any longer but you can get the report when you log in… sometimes. It seems to zero out every once in a while.
Google recently reset some of my video views. I last recorded the views on 10/23 (see below). Yesterday I noticed that the Takoma Park Impeach Documentary was still at 388 views…this morning it’s at 0. I did some research and apparently truth/political videos with views in the thousands or millions regularly have the views reset. Some of the creators of those videos claim google is censoring. Does google really care about my videos with their relatively low number of views? Or is it just a computer glitch (as google has apparently claimed)? Some videos in the collection have not had their views Zeroed out (yet!).
If you have not yet seen the videos and want to help get the numbers up again, please click and view!
Kent Bye’s “Echo Chamber Project” is attempting a new type of citizen journalism: an “open source, investigative documentary about the how the television news media became an uncritical echo chamber to the Executive Branch leading up to the war in Iraq.” By “open source,” Bye means that he is sharing both the transcripts and footage from his documentary with anyone who wants to use it or remix it with other footage as they see fit. He is also trying to “develop more sophisticated techniques for citizen journalism,” including new software tools that will enable other collaborative efforts. A preliminary video of the Echo Chamber Project is available on OurMedia.org, a non-profit initiative that provides free storage space and bandwidth to anyone with videos, audio files, text files, or software that they’d like to share with the world.

“Freedom’s Watch, a deep-pocketed conservative group led by two former senior White House officials, made an audacious debut in late August when it began a $15 million advertising campaign designed to maintain Congressional support for President Bush’s troop increase in Iraq.”

CNN is congratulating itself profusely for its YouTube debate, and they showed a lot of excellent questions. But they refused to show the #1 video as voted on by visitors to CommunityCounts. The hands-down winning question was on impeachment.
With the newly introduced 35 articles of impeachment for BUSH and what McClellan has recently revealed, we have an opportunity to renew our push for impeachment hearings and accountability.
