Join the Impeachment March in DC this Saturday, January 12th!

On Saturday, January 12, sixty year-old patriot John Nirenberg will walk the final leg of his historic march from Boston to Washington, DC to urge Congress to hold impeachment hearings on Bush and Cheney. Join us as we welcome him to DC with a march to the seat of the original U.S. Constitution at the National Archives.

For those who want to walk 5.7 miles with John, see

1) National Arboretum route; For those who want to walk 1.42 miles with John (or who are coming by train or Metrorail), see 2) Union Station route; for those who only want to participate in the rally following the march, see 3) National Archives Rally.

1) National Arboretum Route Start time: 9:00 amDistance-5.7 miles. Estimated walking time to National Archives: Three hours Rendezvous point: Parking lot at New York Avenu entrance. Transportation: Lots of parking spaces. Arboretum is on Metrorail system. There is a B2 Metro bus that leaves from the Stadium Armory station every twenty minutes and drops passengers two blocks from the Bladensburg Road entrance of the Arboretum.Driving and public transportation directionsMap of Arboretum Grounds Description of site: Opens 8:00 am every day. Beautiful grounds. Visitors Center is nice and warm with restrooms. No food sold anywhere on this site. 2) Union Station route Approximate start time: 11:30 amApproximate distance: 1.42 miles.Estimated walking time to National Archives: 45 minutesDescription of site: Lots of food, shopping. Heavy tourist traffic. Bring lots of signs!Transportation: Located on at Union Station stop on Metrorail Red line. Main terminal for Amtrak and commuter rails. Taxi ride or long walk from bus terminal. 3) Rally at the National Archives Approximate start time: 12:30 pmTransportation: Take Metrorail to Archives/Navy Memorial stop on the Yellow or Green Line. Enjoy the mall and view the Constitution and Declaration of Independence on display at the Archives while waiting for John. Parking very limited; Food-yes, but expensive, boring, and limited options.
